Do we need both ssConfig and ssConfigFile?

The difference between these parameters is that the first is a relative path and the second absolute; but the param names don't help determine the difference. Either we should use only one, and determine mechanically whether it's a full path or not; or we should rename to make the difference clear.

I'm in favour of removing ssConfigFile and then programatically determining if the path needs to be resolved for ssConfig. But I'm not sure if this is a release-blocker, or if we can kick it to 2.1 (given that we'll want to deprecate it anyway for our own sake).
