Would this dezentralised form of production be inclusive for all?

I came across this comment in the reddit solarpunk community:

I think you're letting your own biases show in how you're defining the different branches. I could just as easily talk about what your "dark green solarpunk" as a backwards looking small minded vision for the privileged. Not everyone is going to be able to live a low tech existence on a narrowboat somewhere - and that's ok!

Solarpunk needs to be a solution for the masses. Billions of people already live here and we need innovations that can scale to help all of them.

As an answer to this question:

So, how is an high-tech world with centralized production any better from lifting everyone to a decent life?
