Hi,
I've been using proxer and its android app for many years now and never encountered any major issues, but ever since I switched to a new TV (Sony Bravia 65' 4K 2015) the cast function doesn't work anymore. I switched to screen-mirroring as a makeshift solution, which works fine, but it's just not as clean (no full screen resolution, display has to be active all time, can't use the phone without pausing the stream etc.)
When I press the cast button on the app, the TV shows the initial loading sequence but once finished, the blue cast symbol just pops up again and stays indefinitely instead of the stream starting. Although this happened with my old Sony TV before from time to time, it was usually fixed by a quick restart. Now it's permanent and I can't get it to work at all...
I already tried several steps which sadly didn't fix it:
- Uninstalled/Installed Proxer.Me app (including earlier builds)
- Reset router and TV to factory settings
- Made sure both devices are in the same network and had their firmware on the latest version
- Cleared the chache, both on the TV and my phone (including the built-in Chromecast app on the TV)
- Checked that the clock setting on both devices are set to automatic
