Samsung HVAC display light switch does not work

Hi there. I have 4 Samsung HVAC connected to HA through SmartThings (2 are the same model).
I can turn the display light on and off with the SmartThing app in all of them. However, only 1 will work via HA.

Device that work as expected:

• ARA-WW-TP1-22-COMMON

Devices that do not work

• TP1X_DA-AC-CAC-01001_0000: Does not show the switch for the device under Configuration.
• TP1X_DA-AC-RAC-01001_0000: The switch is present in the UI, but it reverts back to on when toggled off. The display light does not change.

This repo claims to have solve this issue, but I have not tried. I prefer to have everything connected through pySmartThings: https://github.com/sfox38/smarter_samsung_ac_led
