feature request: customize fonts

I've searched through the setitngs and issues and sorry if I've missed it but I'd like the ability to customize which fonts are used in chats. I can't explain exactly why but I find the default fonts used hard to read. I think line spacing is part of it and inline mono fonts being a different size is also kind of jarring. I'd at least like to experiment with alternative font settings.
