ability to set a static IP address in the system config menu

currently my network infrastructure for my camera system in non-dhcp and unmanaged system. would great if there was a way to assign the ip address of the client so that it can connect to whatever ip scheme that is setup

also wanted to express that i tried the OS version, i loved it but i couldn't setup an IP address for the client from the OS nor was i able to login from the Terminal because i did not know the credentials to enter in command line the static IP the address so that i could use it on my network properly

do so by editing /etc/dhcpcd.conf

with the code below at the very bottom of the file

i did a very cruel work around for this, it is not the best but it works.
i added a line at the in of cmdline file
ip=192.168.xxx.xxx
