Readium JS, annotator touch plugin : Latency in ios safari

Hi,

I am trying to use readium js and annotator.js together in order to get a scroll able epub rendered. The problem is when the epub content is big and has rich media content like images and audio, in ios safari specifically, when a touch hold occurs, the annotation button is appearing very late. I have tried to replicate the same in a small POC , which does not have such big content or rich media, but the latency can be observed. Please have a look and advise.
