Hi all, i have installed sane-scan-pdf and sane on my raspberry pi device, but running into the following issue: Same problem on raspberry pi os or Ubuntu server. All depedencies installed. Scanimage is running fine. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. |

Thanks! When installing the Sane package (on ubuntu and raspberry pi os) fails with the following error: sudo apt install sane Any suggestions what to do? |

It looks like Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (Noble) has it:
https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?suite=noble&arch=any&mode=exactfilename&searchon=contents&keywords=scanadf
but you are running 25.10 (Questing) and this version does not:
https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?suite=questing&arch=any&mode=exactfilename&searchon=contents&keywords=scanadf
I don't know why they would not have included it given that upstream provides this. Seems like a packaging bug to me. I found this existing issue on the Ubuntu bug-tracker and I've commented there -- but please also upvote it and register your interest there: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sane-frontends/+bug/2112497.
