Ability to set device name and/or device notes from command line arguments #716
-
|
Hi team, We have recently picked up RustDesk and are looking to use it to replace Teamviewer. Our goal is to have RustDesk automatically install alongside our software, so that we can provide remote support automatically. As a result, it would be nice to be able to set the device name/notes. By default, the device is added to our contact list with a random ID and the machine name as the device name. Since we will be using it as a large-scale deployment solution, it will be hard for us to coordinate which device is which, without checking the connected device and manually mapping it. If we can expand the (command line arguments) to allow this, it would make our job a lot easier. I understand that renaming the device name might be tricky, but notes would work. |
