Update black version to 26 ?

pyproject.toml has the dependency "black>=24.3.0,<25", please consider the compatibility with more recent releases (26.1.0 as of today) : https://github.com/psf/black/releases.

Is the limitation <25 a technical issue, or merely a safeguard ?

It’s a mix of both. I tried upgrading recently and it broke a lot of the tests, which means it breaks some of our assumptions about the formatting. I need to revisit once I’ve squashed some more bugs
