clean codebase, update cfgs, update readme

- introduce platformname parameter to specify platform of choice
- rename operatingsystem parameter to platformversion
- rewrite readme documentation for improved clarity and readability
- add project story segment to readme and remove others
- refine powerpkg codebase for easier readability and maintainability
