Is it possible to auto detect the language?

I can't seem to figure out how to make it auto detect the language.

For example:

// Example JavaScript code
function greet(name) {
  return `Hello, ${name}!`;
}

let hi = true;

console.log(greet('World'));

Should be autodetected as JavaScript or Typescript.

If I paste this code in a new VS Code tab, it automatically gets recognized as Typescript and gets syntax highlighting, so it must be possible.
