On the task details page, in the leaderboard table, it would be nice to have:

• take-off time
• mean speed (computed from SSS to ESS time and optimized distance of the task)
• the ability to download IGC of contestants (even better if we can select IGC tracks to visualize on the map along with the task)
• wing category and model (needs to be asked on submit)
• the ability to delete its own track submissions

Yes, this would definitely be nice and is on the roadmap. Since this is not a core feature of Syrac but a way for pilots to check the flights of others, I was thinking of making this a paid feature. This would be a first step towards making the project sustainable. What do you think about it ?

Wing category has already been added to the track submission form, I'll add it to the leaderboard as soon as I find some time. Wing model is also on the roadmap but with a lower priority.

Indeed not relevant for ranking but interesting anyway to asses the conditions. Just like completing a given task isn't as hard in June as it is in January, taking off at 8am is harder than at 2pm.

Requiring a paid subscription to view contestant tracks would be like selling their personal information, which I'm not a fan of. But I understand the need for a sustainable business model.

You could probably put other limitations such as only allowing the visualization of a single track for free accounts and the ability to select several for paid users.

Got it. Maybe start time and/or completion times are interesting as well. I'll think about an non-intrusive way to display them.

As long as Syrac accounts are not linked to any official user identity, I don't think PII concerns are relevant, but I see what you mean.

You're right about the time, SSS crossing is more relevant than take-off for permanent challenges.

Completion speed and wing categoy have been added to the leaderboard 🚀

I'd like to move forward on adding wing brand and model, but I would need a database of all existing models (new ones can be added on a case-by-case basis later). Gliderbase was last updated 5 years ago, so it's missing a lot of models. I will probably end up grabbing the list xcontest is using, but an open-access database would be nice!
