No app update since May 2025

As the title says, there hasn't been any app updates since May 2025.

Is the project still in development or is it already abandoned?

That would be a catastrophy, since many other apps depend on Termux and it's the only usable terminal app on Android.

At least we deserve an explanation, right?

the "app update" time is inaccurate because that component does not need updates.

updates in termux come from pkg upgrade after installation.

If you need a slightly newer version, you can compile the master branch using ./gradlew assembleDebug manually. That will give several minor updates that are not yet in F-Droid releases.

Yes, for the stuff I do with it, that's true, it works fine so far. But that wasn't the question.

The question is:
Is it still in active development or not?

I see, we are very different because I am very dedicated to F-Droid and I almost always only use the F-Droid version of Termux because it is my favorite version and also the F-Droid build bot is my favorite one.
