[Bug]: Weird visual spacing of italicized text in a text editor

Problem description

So if text, such as one-liner text is being italicized, for some kind of reason, the more the cursor goes to the right, the more the the text is "spaced" even though there's no space, and this also happened to different fonts (I even tried the italic variant of the font I use, this visual glitches is still there), this can be quite hassle to edit such text especially when editing with a text editor that has color scheme that italicize, e.g comments, and when the cursor blinks, it gets even weirder.

Steps to reproduce the behavior.

1. Opens up a text editor that uses color scheme that italicize specific text, e.g comment
2. Write a long, one line comment
3. Move the cursor to the right and the text slowly gets visually spaced

What is the expected behavior?

When the cursor moves the right, the visual spacing of the text must be stay as is no matter what's the font used.
