Create Windows standalone executables

Creating a Windows executable (.exe) using pyinstaller works with orGUI.

The question is whether there is demand for an .exe file as an additional way to release orGUI.

I.e. are there any users that are not using python, but only the graphical user interface as stand-alone application ?

I envision a similar way of releasing orGUI as pymca on sourceforge.

Is there demand for Linux or MacOS stand-alone binaries?

Please provide feedback if a simple Windows installer would help you!

I agree that a standalone installer would be great for inexperienced users or people who don't want to create and handle their own python environment. However, a good readme file / instruction manual describing how to operate the software (like discussed in issue #7) should be created prior to the standalone installer in my opinion.
I would suggest creating versions for both Windows and Linux.
