still Malware warning

As soon As i unpack the dmg-file and click the launchback.app I got a system warning that the app contains malware. and it gets send tho the recycle-bin straight away.

Then I copied the .app file to my applications-folder myself and ran run the code you provided (xattr -d com.apple.quarantine LaunchBack.app) in terminal...

But after that, still the malware warning and teh file gets sa=end to the bin straight away..

I am one of those geeks who uses the macbook like a phone or Ipad so I LOVE the launcghpad.. So I would love to see it working

Noted. Unfortunately, I have yet to resolve this as it has been a very busy last few weeks of college, though I am looking into it alongside a few other new additions and feature improvements. There may even be a merge coming soon with another brilliant fork of LaunchBack that would provide features such as folders and drag-and-drop application sorting.

The malware warning is caused by Apple revoking the code-signing certificate used in the pre-built .dmg file. For users, the app is in macOS XProtect's blocklist and can't be run.

The only solution is to build it from source:

# Clone the repository
git clone https://github.com/trey-a-12/LaunchBack.git
cd LaunchBack/"LaunchBack 1.0 (Xcode Files)"

# Build without code signing
xcodebuild -project LaunchBack.xcodeproj -scheme LaunchBack -configuration Release
build CODE_SIGN_IDENTITY="" CODE_SIGNING_REQUIRED=NO CODE_SIGNING_ALLOWED=NO

# Install to Applications
sudo cp -R ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/LaunchBack-*/Build/Products/Release/
LaunchBack.app /Applications/

The freshly built version will work fine. The dmg included in releases need to be built with a valid cert.
