[Bug Report]: Kiwix server does not create containers on install

App Issue

There are no containers created after the app was installed, using the default install values. According to the kiwix-server app notes there should be two containers created: kiwix-server and permissions, but none are. Because of this there are no logs from the app that I could attach. The bug is reproduced on two systems, both running the latest Goldeye release (25.10.1)

Does the data storage have any zim files?

I did not load any specific ZIM files. And the storage is by default ixVolume created by the installer, for which I would assume that installer would load what it requires automatically into that volume. Are you saying that the default install options are not useable and I need to manually prepare the storage with ZIM files?

Well zim files are the things you want to see/serve. We can't know what content you want.
And given that kiwix don't work without at least one, I'm not sure what we can do on our side

Ok, so just to clarify, does the installer assume that the Data storage is not a new ixVolume, but rather a host path that contains the zim files I want the server to use? Also, is there any documentation for the workflow? I would need to know where exactly to put the files and so on.

You can put the zim files in the id volume too, but it's easier in a host path. Documentation for the zim files etc should be available on the kiwix website I believe.
But as far as I know, you just drop the zim files im the root of the data storage and it will pick them up
