Name & idea generation template

Generate and shortlist product names and taglines for Islamic tech.

1. Naming approaches

Approach Example Notes
Arabic / Islamic term Zakatly, Salam, Barakah Check meaning and pronunciation in all target languages

2. Shortlist (5–10 names)

3. Validation

  • Linguistic: Native speakers (Arabic, Urdu, Turkish, etc.) — no bad meaning?
  • Trademark: Quick search in your target countries
  • Domain: .com or .app or alternative
  • Social: Instagram, Twitter, TikTok handle availability
  • App stores: No conflicting app names

4. Taglines

One-line descriptions for each shortlisted name (for landing page, app store, social bio).

5. Idea generation (broader)

When brainstorming ideas (not just names):

  • Pain points: What do Muslims complain about in existing apps?
  • Gaps: What’s missing in prayer, zakat, mosque, halal, education, community?
  • Analogies: “Like X but for Muslims” or “Like X but halal / faith-first”
  • Combinations: Mosque + payments, Quran + social, etc.
