Cloning a request fails with error #7231

@rsnet

Description

@rsnet

I have checked the following:

  • I have searched existing issues and found nothing related to my issue.

This bug is:

  • making Bruno unusable for me
  • slowing me down but I'm able to continue working
  • annoying
  • this feature was working in a previous version but is broken in the current release.

Bruno version

3.1.2

Operating System

Windows 11 Build 26200

Describe the bug

I updated to Bruno 3.1.2 yesterday (Feb 18, 2026). Prior to this update, I have cloned requests in Bruno many times, and have never had an issue cloning a request.

Today (Feb 19, 2026), I am getting an error when I attempt to clone a request. The error is: Error invoking remote method 'renderer:new-request': Error: Collection not found for the given pathname.

.bru file to reproduce the bug

I attempted to drag and drop the .bru file, but Github.com didn't like that. I made a copy of the .bru file, and added a .txt extension so that it would upload. Hopefully that helps.
