Odd saving behavior when editing a form

Describe the bug

When editing a dropdown field in Formie, if there is no default option selected when you save, changes do not save. Once a default option is selected, any changes to the form are saved after clicking save. Oddy, if you exit out of the form page after saving and go back to the editor, the changes save properly even with no default option selected.

Steps to reproduce

1. Create a Form
2. Add a dropdown field and populate with some options, without selecting one as a default
3. Save
4. Try editing the field by adding a new option
5. "Apply" then "Save"
6. Without leaving the page open up the settings for the dropdown field, the changes are not their anymore.

Form settings

Sounds like a reactivity issue, but I can't seem to replicate it. Can you just confirm you're on 2.2.17 - the latest release at this time?

Strange, yes I am on the 2.2.17 version. I checked the logs as well and there are no errors reported.
