Structured Discussion Templates Now Live for Announcements & Feature Requests

📢 Announcement — General Update

Two official GitHub Discussion form templates are now part of the Cartxis repo, replacing freeform posts with structured, consistent submissions.

Announcements template

Posts in this category now prompt for:

• Announcement Type — Release, Breaking Change, Security Advisory, Deprecation, Upcoming Event, or General Update
• Announcement Details — full description of the change
• Action Required — explicit steps for users/developers
• Affected Versions — which Cartxis versions are impacted
• Reference Links — PRs, changelogs, docs

New Feature template

Feature request discussions now collect:

• Feature Area — scoped to Cartxis modules (Cart & Checkout, Payments & Gateways, Themes & UI, API & Integrations, Admin Panel, Security, i18n, and more)
• Problem / Motivation — the gap the feature fills
• Proposed Solution — what should be built and how
• Alternatives Considered — any workarounds evaluated
• Priority — Critical / High / Medium / Low
• Contribution — whether the requester will submit a PR

Templates are enforced at the GitHub UI level. No setup required for community members — just click "New Discussion" and select the right category.

Note for maintainers: The New Feature category must be created in Discussions settings for its template to activate.
