It's possible if combining RTX Remix outside of this repository with a newer or older from other repositories (https://github.com/NVIDIAGameWorks for example). That worked for Portal Prelude RTX, where possible to update outdated remix with a newer one with much better performance, but this trick not working for Portal 2. Only upscaling, ray reconstruction dlls like nvngx_dlss and nvngx_dlssd can be replaced. |

I've tried a variety of different ways to boot this mod. With and without the bat file- with its launch arguments in the base game, every time it would load to cache resources, the loading screen reaches %100, and the screen would quickly flash and hang on loading. It drops an error that read along the lines of cl_thirdperson command unknown. Every boot after just quick loads with no effort to load in the assets or shaders. It will load the remix menu, but that's all.
Update: So I was able to get the game to skip making the assets from the mastercache, but it behaves like it did before with the full-bright and no attempt of remix creating new shaders.
