Description
Presumably select="/doc" should preserve the properties, but select="normalize-space(/doc)" which changes the content type shouldn't preserve the serialization properties.
Presumably this belongs in 3.3. Creating documents from XDM step results
Off-the-cuff proposal: all document properties are preserved, unless the content type changes, in which case the serialization properties are discarded.
