Hi, thanks for this RT 3290 linux drivers! I once was able to run it successfully and the result was amazing wireless connection, high speed, 100% stable!!! Strange Ubuntu initially doesn't use them...
Recently I had to reinstall Ubuntu 17.04 and when tried to run this installer it first promped "Can not compile the driver" so it was probably something to install from "build essentials" via apt-get but even I could manage this and compiled the driver the installer then says "Trying to load the driver" => "Could not load the driver" => "Rolling back the RT3290" (when I check "connection details" it shows RT2800 is used)
How to load without issues this proper compiled RT3290 driver?
best regards
