Collected Addresses moved to Google adressbook then synced get deleted

Steps to reproduce:

• drag an address from the collected address book to the Google address book
• (optionally) add a name
• Synchronize now from TBSync account manager

Expected result:

• collected address shows up as a contact in the Google address book in Thunderbird, and online on contacts.google.com

Actual result:

• collected address is deleted from Google address book in Thunderbird, and never shows up online on contacts.google.com

This happens from three different installs of Thunderbird on debian.

Thanks for Your ticket, and sorry for my late reply.

This sounds indeed like a bug, and I'll have a look as soon as possible, but if it's related to the compatibility layer that TB uses I don't know if I'll be able to handle it...

The good news is that, when switching to the new version (late 2025? 2026?), all the "vintage" stuff from TB will be gone and we'll be using the new APIs only.
