Need better repo selection for workspaces with many Git repositories

Having 50 + repos in a workspace, my finger hurts already from scrolling mouse wheel to pick correct repository each time

Request:

1. Add fuzzy search to repository picker
2. Auto-switch the active repo to the nearest .git root of the currently focused file

I would also find this functionality very valuable. For example, Visual Studio Code's implementation of this feature is great and it would be highly beneficial for my workflow. I need to manage a directory structure containing multiple subdirectories, each with their own Git repositories, and this capability would significantly improve the productivity with this use case.
