Cannot correctly map keys on non-english keyboard (Ubuntu)

I am exploring Zed and I like it a lot. However I am having some trouble with configuring my keyboard bindings. For example for opening the bottom dock I wanted to use ctrl-ö. It didn't work, I had to use ctrl-0 which is where ö would be on an english layout keyboard. Fine, not a big issue. But when I wanted to add ctrl-shift-0 for opening a new terminal, it did not work, neither with ö nor with 0. It just prints Ö.
