Ignore whitespace only changes in git panel

I would like the ability to ignore all whitespace-only changes in the git panel.
If 50 lines of HTML were indented and I added a div around that block, I would like the diff to show just the addition of the <div> and </div> on those lines instead of me needing to visually inspect the entire block to determine that nothing else changed.
