Zed’s font rendering feels more fatiguing to my eyes compared to VSCode.
When using Zed, the text appears slightly harder to focus on — it feels less sharp and more visually straining over time.
In contrast, VSCode’s font rendering looks clearer and more comfortable for extended reading and coding sessions.
I tested Zed with settings similar to those I use in VSCode:
The following images show how the fonts look in Zed vs. VSCode:

VSCode:

If this is caused by settings, please let me know.
But if it’s related to rendering, I believe this could be improved — Zed should be more eye-friendly for long coding sessions.
Machine: Mac mini 2024
Display resolution: 2560 × 1440
Zed version: 0.208.5
VSCode version: 1.105.1 (Universal)
