Since you're using jlesage images, please add the Web File Manager

There will be very nice upload files with to web ui like this project:

I am not exactly sure what you mean.

The link is mentioning an environment variable WEB_FILE_MANAGER which anyone can set, but I am not sure if it works for this container.

Adding a separate web file manager is out of scope, given that you can easily add one into the docker compose file which mounts into the same folder as the handbrake image.

  - WEB_FILE_MANAGER=1

I've tried it but it doesn't do anything

Yeah it seems that this is a feature that only exists in that particular image and is not part of the base image.

From my side this is a wontfix as you can easily just add something like filebrowser to the container with a few lines in the docker-compose file.
