Update docs: LED charging colors, power on/off, Tap & Talk

Problem

Documentation and help articles contain outdated/incorrect info about device hardware behavior after recent firmware updates.

What needs updating

1. LED charging colors (URGENT)

Outdated: Some docs mention "orange" LED during charging

Current (correct):

• Alternating green/blue OR green/red = charging
• Solid green = fully charged
• Red = disconnected (not charging-related)
• Blue = connected
• No light = device off

2. Power on/off instructions

Need clear step-by-step for:

• Turning device on (first boot + regular)
• Turning device off
• Restart/reset

3. Tap & Talk usage

Document how Tap & Talk works:

• How to trigger it
• What it does
• Difference vs normal recording

Where to update

• Help center articles (help.omi.me or equivalent)
• docs.omi.me hardware section
• Quick start guide / user manual
• In-app help text (if applicable)

Impact

Users reporting confusion about charging LEDs due to outdated docs → support tickets + frustration.

Omi's helpdesk isn't on Git, right? How can I/the community work on this? I've been wanting to modernize many of the helpdesk docs but they're walled off.

@josancamon19, following the contribution guide's invitation to propose a bounty, would you approve US$25 via PayPal after acceptance and merge for a scoped documentation update addressing #5653?

There is an editable public starting point: docs/onboarding/omi-devkit-2.mdx at 04aab4aa. Quick Setup says to hold the button for 3 seconds to power on, while Button Controls says a single press toggles power. Its LED table still lists orange/teal charging states. These need a device/version-specific explanation, rather than a global color replacement.

Proposed delivery: a focused public-docs PR covering the agreed model's LED states, power controls and Tap & Talk instructions, with source references and documentation validation. I can also supply the same copy for a maintainer to apply to the private helpdesk; I do not have helpdesk access or a physical device for testing.

Please confirm whether this paid scope is wanted and still available, and which device model and released firmware version should be authoritative. I will wait for scope and payment confirmation before implementation.

@josancamon19 I can take the repository-owned documentation portion of this for US$15, payable through the documented private PayPal process after acceptance and merge. I would update the current editable hardware/onboarding pages for the LED states, power/reset steps, and Tap & Talk behavior, add the needed discovery links, and verify each statement against current source or maintained device documentation. I would not claim changes to the external helpdesk pages that contributors cannot edit. Please confirm the scope and funding; I am not assuming assignment or payment.
