is this supposed to match the description date (January 1, 2015)?

I'm not sure, that's a great question. I based it off of the temporal interval startdate I found here https://github.com/US-GHG-Center/ghgc-data/blob/main/ingestion-data/datasets/geos-co-ch4-daygrid-vPRE.json#L44

Ah! It's technically one dataset, but we split it into two STAC collections. The other data, CO2 Column Concentrations, has a start date of 2015. I think we split it for viz purposes in the E&A tool

| "description": "This dataset provides daily, global assimilated methane (XCH₄), and carbon monoxide (XCO) average column concentrations starting from January 1, 2015. The data are derived from OCO-2 observations that were input to the Goddard Earth Observing System (GEOS) Constituent Data Assimilation System (CoDAS), a modeling and data assimilation system maintained by NASA's Global Modeling and Assimilation Office (GMAO). XCO₂ average column values are provided in units of parts per million (ppm), while XCO₂ and XCO average column values are provided in units of parts per billion (ppb). The data have been regridded to 0.25 degrees and have also been transformed to Cloud Optimized GeoTIFF (COG) format. The source data can be found at https://portal.nccs.nasa.gov/datashare/gmao/geos_carb/carbon/vPRE/netcdf/ghg_tavg_day_glo_L1440x721_slv/.", |

@siddharth0248 Do these need to be updated to "Average Dry-Air Column" here? See "Info for Data Processing" section at the bottom
