A rebased local reconstruction is now available as draft PR #611 for review. It explicitly credits @JanStureNielsen and links this original contribution. This does not silently supersede or close #454; maintainers should decide after comparing the diffs, and attribution should remain attached to the original work.

Rebase the exact change from PR #454 onto the current ea branch. Rename the root README and the nested ACID example README, and update the six root backlinks without changing their visible labels.

Authorship is preserved from the original contribution.

Closes #454
