There was an update on the Mixed Reality Tool Kit which broke the current NewtonVR code.
They removed the GLTFComponentStreamingAssets script to keep up with the drop in KhronosGroup/UnityGLTF:
microsoft/MixedRealityToolkit-Unity#1650

The model now loads correctly again :)
