Hi VUnit Support Team,

I am currently trying to integrate GRLIB (Gaisler Research Library for LEON3) into a VUnit-based simulation environment, but I am stuck with a persistent compilation failure.

The project was originally generated based on GRLIB within a Cygwin environment. When I attempt to run the simulation using VUnit (run.py), I encounter the following compilation error:

@gwangownlee You should do exactly as reported in the error. Are you compiling that package with VUnit as well? If yes, did you try to use the flag --clean to make sure everything is recompiled from scratch?

I tried using --clean, but I still get the same error. I also deleted the vunit_out directory and rebuilt everything from scratch, but the result was the same.

When compiling the external open-source library grlib, what is the recommended approach with VUnit?

• Should I add every source file individually using add_source_files()?

• Or should I use add_external_library() with the precompiled library generated by Riviera?

• Or is there a way to compile the entire package/library at once instead of adding each source file manually?

What is the correct way to integrate grlib with VUnit?
