Gitu shows different versions

The current release is v0.40: https://github.com/altsem/gitu/releases/tag/v0.40.0
The version in Cargo.toml also v0.40

But the git_version shows otherwise.

Any reason this commit was made 3197495?
I don't have any issue with clap::crate_version!() so far.

It seems v0.40.0 was a manually tagged lightweight tag, I think that's the cause. It seems to no longer be the case with v0.41.0.

edit:
It does seem cargo install --locked gitu gives me the previous version...
But installing from release or cloning and installing via cargo install --locked --path . seems to give the right one.

Oh I never pressed the release button for the cargo build. Now it's all working.
