Adam Gotlib edited this page Jul 2, 2025 · 10 revisions

The Simulation Working Group was established to lead the development of reference, integrated E2E simulation pipelines to be used in the advancement of Autoware Foundation

Working group leaders

  • Adam Gotlib (Robotec.AI)
  • Mete Fatih Cırıt (AWF)

Working group goals

The goals of the Simulation Working Group are:

  1. Define the reference architecture for E2E simulation pipelines spanning scenario generation, simulation and safety assessment
  2. Define open interfaces between various tools (e.g scenario generation and simulation) and solutions (e.g. map assets) for integration into E2E pipeline
  3. Develop, document and apply reference E2E pipeline implementations to Autoware.Auto CI/CD
  4. Define minimum performance metrics of tools and solutions to achieve required simulation accuracy
  5. Application of safety metrics to continuously assess and improve AD safety
  6. Application and optimization of E2E pipeline tools and solutions to efficiently utilize compute resources
  7. Enable tracking and reporting of simulation results
