Note that CNB is now a CNCF graduated project. Provide some outline
details on a new history page.

AidanDelaney requested a review from a team as a code owner August 23, 2026 14:52
The origin story previously lived only in the homepage template,
mixed in with unrelated marketing content. Moving it to its own page
makes room to record the CNCF graduation properly and gives other
pages something durable to link to instead of a homepage anchor.

The section repeated content now on the new history page and pushed
the "Getting Started" call to action further down the page than it
needs to be. A short link in its place keeps the trail visible
without duplicating the text in two places.

The history page previously had no entry point outside a homepage
link, so it would be invisible from any other page, including the
docs section. The header menu appears on every page, so this is the
minimal change that makes it reachable from the docs pages too.

Graduation was previously mentioned only in the footer, below the
fold on every page. A small mark next to the CNCF logo in the hero
gives adopters a credibility signal before they scroll, without
turning the hero into an announcement banner. It links to the new
history page for anyone who wants the detail behind the claim.

The docs landing page carried its own short version of the project
history, including a vague "graduated ... in 2026," duplicating what
now lives in full on the history page. Linking out keeps the docs
page brief and leaves one place to keep the graduation facts current.
