I wonder would it be worth investing time in checking whether moving to multiprocessing is possible, and if so, how feasible would it be? Billiard is multiple source of problems for people like me who need to run process-based stuff in Celery tasks, stuff that normally work with multiprocessing, but fails for various reasons when Billiard is used.

If we can properly update the code of billiard with multiprocessing of python 13 the problems should disappear
