if there was a comments section i would've just posted this there. this may already be in documentation somewhere, i apologize if that's the case.

It seems like this sort of user configuration belongs in your shell setup files not in our documentation for running a gem installed command.

It may be Arch specific or it may belong to your particular setup I'm not sure - but I don't think it should be executed by anyone running this web setup.
