Hi,

Thanks for the PR, but since I don’t use Nix myself, I’d rather not include Nix-specific build files in this repo (that I would feel kind of responsible for updating when doing releases).

I don't know what is the common practice in the Nix world. Is there a way to manage the packaging config externally and just fetch the source code from this repo? In which case I would be happy to link to a community-maintained Nix package in the README.

Best regards,

It's literally done that way. The package is downloaded from releases. I can keep the fork with the nix branch and just merge changes from main and keep the package working on nix

That’s fine with me. I don’t think it’s necessary to actually fork the repo since the package is downloaded directly from the releases (especially if you want to have your own README for Nix-specific instructions), but you can handle it however you prefer. Feel free to open a PR (or force push on this one) to link to the final repo:

I will create a repo with the $(same name)-nix, containing only the fleck and documentation. Thank you very much for your feedback.
