Vault High Availability Cluster with Consul

The following image illustrates the ports and connectivity required for a Vault cluster with Consul servers as the storage backend. Note that Vault replication is only available in Vault Enterprise.

Clarifications/corrections:

  1. Consul client agent needs to have connectivity to ALL the servers
  2. Consul client agent to Consul server agent is over 8300/RPC in addition to Consul server agent to Consul server agent
