Looks really good! I forget--are combining marks available? 'Cause then you don't need to hardcode diacritic-altered characters.

Yes, there has been a lot of work on this over the last week or so, from around #59. To see the full state, you might like to look at master's table at https://github.com/ipython/xkcd-font/blob/master/xkcd-script/samples/charmap_combining_diacritical_marks.png, or just try them out in the live preview https://ipython.github.io/xkcd-font/preview.html (though watch out, as the font has the combining marks as well as pre-combined forms).
