## Privacy considerations

**All proposals must now have this section, even if it is to say there are no privacy issues.**

*Think about how to attack your proposal, using the categories of privacy threats, threat mitigations and
guidelines of [RFC6973](https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc6973) (see sections 5, 6 and 7).*

*Some proposals may have some privacy aspect to them that was addressed in the proposed solution. This
section is a great place to outline some of the possible implications on the users' privacy of your
proposal, such as why your approach improves privacy aspects of the protocol or which new risks are
introduced by your proposal. The example here is a bit of a stretch and unlikely to actually be
worthwhile of including in a proposal, but it is generally a good idea to list these kinds of concerns
where possible.*

MSCs can drastically affect the protocol. The authors of MSCs may not have a privacy background. If they
do not consider privacy implications in their design, we rely on reviewers to consider such implications.
