Handlebar Rotation with Wheel (for Bikes)

Grinch_ edited this page Mar 25, 2025 · 2 revisions

🚴 Overview

This feature adds realistic handlebar rotation that syncs with wheel movement for bikes in the game. By using the fork_front and handlebars nodes, you can achieve dynamic handlebar motion, making bike controls feel more immersive. ✅ This works with default bikes, as long as they have these two nodes.

📌 Requirements

Before you start, make sure you have:
🔹 A bike model (.dff file) that you want to enhance.
🔹 The fork_front and handlebars nodes included in the bike model.

🛠️ Steps to Enable Handlebar Rotation

Follow these steps to integrate handlebar movement:

1️⃣ Open your bike model (.dff file) in 3ds Max, Blender, or ZModeler.
2️⃣ Locate or create the fork_front and handlebars nodes.

  • ✅ Ensure they are correctly placed to represent the front fork and handlebars.

3️⃣ Save your modified bike model.

🎮 Example

Imagine you have a bike model with the correct fork_front and handlebars nodes:

🔹 Open the model in your 3D software.
🔹 Verify that both nodes are present and properly positioned.
🔹 Save the changes and test it in the game.

🛞 When you ride your bike, the handlebars will rotate in sync with the wheels, making the bike feel more natural and responsive!

✅ Compatibility

✨ This feature works perfectly with default bikes if they include the fork_front and handlebars nodes.
🚀 No extra components needed—just improved realism for your bike handling!
