Description of changes
Use
mappatch_uv3dto map the windstress from the atmosphere lat-long grid to the ocn/ice tripolar grid. Interpolating the zonal/meridional components directly causes the components to almost cancel at the north pole, leading to a perpetual near0windstress at the north pole. Interpolating the 3D velocities instead fixes this problem.Plots of magnitude of the average windstress, averaged over 10 days. Comparison of atmosphere windstress, and ocean windstress (from runs using
mappatchandmappatch_uv3d). Note the dark spot at the north pole present in themappatchplot.Atmosphere grid
