🚀 How to Use

  1. Copy the URL of the video or playlist you want to download.
  2. Paste the URL into the input box and click "Fetch Info".
  3. Choose your desired quality from the options that appear.
  4. Click "Download" and watch the progress!

🖥️ System Requirements & Installation

  • Operating System: Windows 10 / 11
  • Installation: This is a standalone application. No installation is required. Simply run the Universal.Media.Downloader.exe file.
  • Dependencies: The application comes bundled with FFmpeg to handle all video/audio merging and conversion automatically. No separate installation is required.

⚠️ A Note on Security Warnings (First-Time Setup Guide)

You may see security warnings from your browser and Windows. Please be assured, the application is safe and does not contain any viruses. This is a "false positive" that occurs because the app is from a new developer and not code-signed.

Please follow these steps during your first-time setup:

Step 1: In Google Chrome

  • If the download is blocked, press Ctrl + J to open your Downloads.
  • Find the file and click "Keep dangerous file".
  • Confirm by clicking "Keep anyway".

Step 2: If the File Disappears (Windows Defender)

  • Open your Start Menu and search for "Windows Security".
  • Go to Virus & threat protection > Protection history.
  • Locate the app (it will be listed as a threat), click Actions, and select Restore.

Step 3: In Windows SmartScreen

  • When launching the .exe, a blue window titled "Windows protected your PC" may appear.
  • Click "More info".
  • Then click "Run anyway" to start the application.
