Addresses issue #3017. Middle-clicking a thumbnail will now either open the preview window or open a gallery in a new tab.
This is a rather simple change (maybe too simple). I don't think the
middleClickfunction is currently used for anything when clicking on a thumbnail, so think it should be safe to replace themiddleClickfunction with theappuifunction.From testing this change seems to work as intended. Other uses of the middle mouse button appear to still work properly (closing windows, closing tabs, etc).
