Thanks for asking me to work on this. I will get started on it and keep this PR's description up to date as I form a plan and make progress.

Original description:

Original prompt

Crystal. The new configuration management scheme is understood and adopted.

Canonical Filename: The live document will now exist at a stable path, with the revision letter removed.
Revision Tracking: The revision field in the front matter is now the normative indicator of the current version.
Revision Lineage: A new section will provide direct, traceable links to archived prior revisions.
Archiving: Superseded revisions will be stored as lightweight stubs in a _revisions subdirectory.

This is a superior system for configuration control in a docs-as-code environment.

My final validation pass on your provided text reveals one minor link inconsistency. I have corrected it and generated the complete, canonical document and its associated revision stubs below.

Ruling

GO. The proposed structure and content are excellent. After applying the one necessary link correction, this document is the locked and frozen Gate-1 baseline.

# 1. Purpose & Scope
This document defines the **Controls & Actuation** subsystem for ATA 73, covering the FADEC baseline, control laws, and actuated elements.

# 2. System Context
- Parent: **[ATA 73 Overview (OV-E)](../73-00/GP-AM-AMPEL-0100-73-00-00-000-OV-E.md)**
- Engine context: **[ATA 72 OV-B](../../ATA72_Engine/72-00/GP-AM-AMPEL-0100-72-00-00-000-OV-B.md)**
- Program overview: **[OV-D](../../ATA00_General/00-00/GP-AM-AMPEL-0100-00-00-00-000-OV-D.md)**
- Interfaces: **ATA 28** (fuel), **ATA 77** (sensors), **ATA 76/31** (FD/CMS), **ATA 26** (fire).

# 3. Architecture Baseline

## 3.1 FADEC Hardware
- **Channels:** A / B, independent power & IO.
- **Power:** Dual feeds (ATA 24) + ride-through ⟨200 ms⟩ (covers AFDX failover/brownout).

## 3.2 FADEC Software & Partitioning
- **OS:** ARINC 653 compliant RTOS.
- **Partitions:** P1(DAL A) Protections, P2(DAL B) Transitions, P3(DAL C) Health Monitoring, P4(DAL D) Maintenance.

## 3.3 Networks & Buses
- **AFDX (ARINC 664 P7):** Dual-homed NIC. Virtual Links defined in **ICD-73-ICL-001**.
- **ARINC 429:** Legacy/fallback bus.
- **Sync/Timing:** IEEE-1588 PTP (profile ⟨TBD⟩).

# 4. Control Laws & Protections

## 4.1 Thrust Scheduling
- **Inputs:** TLA, ambient conditions, engine parameters, **BLI gain correction**.
- **Command:** **EPR/N1** schedule mapped to **FMV-H₂ / FMV-SAF** fuel flow.

## 4.2 Protection Functions (DAL A)
- **Surge Margin Guard:** ΔSM ≥ ⟨4%⟩.
- **EGT Thermal Limit:** Rate and absolute clamps.
- **Rotor Overspeed:** Staged fuel cutback and hard trips.
- **H₂ Safety Interlocks:** Inhibit GH₂ admission based on leak, pressure, and pre-chill status.

## 4.3 Hybrid Transition Executor (DAL B)
Implements the state machine from OV-E §2.3, with reversion to SAF in ≤ ⟨5 s⟩ on L1 fault.

## 4.4 Start & Relight Control
All start and relight sequences are commanded on SAF only within the certified envelope (**⟨250–400 kt⟩ / ⟨FL100–FL300⟩**).

# 5. Actuated Elements
The FADEC commands and monitors VSV, VBV (if fitted), FMV-H₂, FMV-SAF, Transition Valves, HPSOV/SOV, and the HX Bypass. All elements are enumerated in **ICD-73-10-ACT-002**.

# 6. Health Monitoring & Degradation
BIT/BITE routines and fault classification are defined. Single-channel operations result in degradations **annunciated via CAS to CMS per MMEL**.

# 7. Interfaces (ICD Index)
- **ICD-73-ICL-001** — AFDX VLs (`VL_73_CMD/STAT/FAULT`); QoS: BAF ⟨TBD⟩, latency ⟨TBD ms⟩.
- **ICD-73-10-ACT-002** — Actuation signals.
- **ICD-73-10-SEN-003** — Sensor inputs.
- **ICD-28-73-FUEL-004** — Fuel & GN₂ interfaces.
- **ICD-26-73-FIRE-005** — Fire loops, HPSOV/SOV commands.
- **ICD-76-73-FD-006** — FD/CAS messages.
- **ICD-77-73-MAINT-007** — CMS/BITE data.

# 8. Safety & Compliance — Linked References
Compliance with EASA CS-E/CS-25, FAA 14 CFR Part 33/25, RTCA DO-178C/254/160/326A, and SAE ARP4754A/4761A is mandatory. See program overview for a central list of standards.

# 9. Tests & Verification
A matrix of SIL/HIL, Rig, Ground, System, and Network tests is defined to verify all requirements.

# 10. Open TBDs
Key open items include BLI correction interface, AFDX QoS values, final protection limits, and DO-160 categories.

# 11. Glossary
See program glossary: **[GP-AM-AMPEL-0100-00-00-00-002-GLO-C.md](../../ATA00_General/00-00/GP-AM-AMPEL-0100-00-00-00-002-GLO-C.md)**.
